The very stable portal allows a vibration-free operation of heavy technologies such as the 3-torch unit oxyfuel or the special plasma rotator “Pantograph” (120° tiltable) with a Z-axis stroke up to 1,500 mm or several 3-torch units. The heaviest drilling supports up to 55 kW can be realized.

Dome diameters up to 10,000 mm
The machine enables individual, fully automated dome processing with diameters up to 10,000 mm. Depending on the equipment of the system, separation cuts, weld preparation, openings as well as individual shapes can be realized. It is also possible to process the curvature of the transition to the edge as well as to process the edge itself. In order to determine deviations from the standard, the dome to be processed is completely scanned using a laser scanner, as a result of which these deviations are automatically compensated. The series uses a very large and heavy gantry for maximum precision. The required machining options for the dome can be programmed intuitively and easily.

Applications
This is a heavy-duty CNC cutting machine designed for a variety of dome, sheet and pipe applications. Its robust gantry allows vibration-free operation of heavy equipment such as automatic flame triple torches, 120° rotators with 1.5 m Z-axis travel for cutting 3D shapes, and other customized equipment. In addition to the full range of sheet and pipe cutting possibilities, the FWINCNC also offers special applications on domes, such as trimming, split cuts, cutting different openings, weld edge preparation and cutting inverted domes. The combination of a 3D scanner and specialized software allows the cutting plan to be adjusted to the measured true surface of the dome, resulting in excellent spatial accuracy in 3D cutting.
